After throwing many successful handsets into the market for years Samsung not wanting to be lagging behind in the market for bluetooth released the WEP200 headset. Measuring just 40mm x 18mm x 18mm the WEP200 Samsung headset is quite a small headset and a big achievement for Samsung who seem to have made one headset that has made it to the market. The earpiece of the WEP200 Bluetooth fits snugly into the ear because of the rubberized rings but a 100% grip can be ensured by using the flexible over ear loops provided. Although the fitting would be better for everyone if different sized earpiece covers had been provided. Since the sole thing responsible to hold the Samsung headset in place is the rubber ring the bluetooth has to be plugged into you ear properly or it will fall off.
The pairing of the Samsung headset is fairly easy and done like almost any other hands free headset. The headset offers a talktime of 4 hours and a standby of 7 days which is quite something from a newcomer in the field. The designers have provided only what is necessary: volume controls and a multi-function button. The volume control is a rocker type button located on the flank of the headset. The rocker is easily found. The multi-function controller button sits flush in the center portion of the device and is the hub for all operations. With a combination of short and long presses of the multi-function button, the WEP200 Samsung headset supports the standard headset functions such as answering and ending calls, voice dialing, transfer of call audio to the phone, last number redial, and call waiting.
